Today, my cat was hit by a car. I took it to the vet expecting the worst but they told me that she’d be fine. I was so happy I didn't even mind paying the $50 bill. The next morning my cat was dead. Having her put down humanely would have cost $45, I paid $5 extra to have her die in my kitchen. FML

Today, I took my cat to the vet. He said he felt a strange lump that could be serious. I got really upset and picked her up, crying. The vet then told me I had to put her down. Absolutely devastated by having to euthanize my cat, I passed out. He meant I had to put her back on the table. FML

Today, I saved a kitten from the streets, cleaned her up and asked the vet what I should do with her because she was the sweetest thing and my cat has a highly contagious illness. The vet had to put her down. FML

Today, despite me not liking cats, which my wife knew, she got a cat anyway. Her cat went for a walk outside and was hit by a car. I rushed outside to help the cat but found she was already dead, and the culprit had driven away. When my wife found out that her cat was dead, she thought I'd killed her. FML

Today, I had to explain to my boss that the reason I was sobbing hysterically as she told me that I was getting a pay raise was because I was going to the vet to have my sick and dying cat put down. Good news at a bad time. FML

Today, I was sent a letter by the vet, saying my cat was late for her yearly checkup. My cat died last week and I'd had her cremated by the same people who had sent the letter. FML

Today, I had to take my cat to the vet. On the way there, he managed to get out of his cage, climb into the front seat, onto my chest, and howl in my face as I tried to drive down the highway. I ended up with stitches and still got charged for missing my cat's appointment. FML

Today, I took my wife's cat to the vet for her yearly check up. I'm finishing the day at the hospital with multiple bite wounds and a deep gash in my leg. My wife chose to comfort her cat instead. FML

that's so sadd. i feel so bad for you. my dog once got hit by a train, but the vet said he was fine, like this, and he was. not hurt at all. but i really feel bad for you.

OMG this is soo sad and I send my condolences to the OP. (I had to go hug my kitties as soon as a read this) Obviously the vet didn't do a thorough enough job inspecting the cat for ALL possible injuries. that poor kitty died a more slow death and no animal deserves that....i would look into legal actions against the vet

tottally feel you op: vets have become bitches these days and ******* lie about shit like this. My aunt got in a bad car accident and her great dane flew through her windsheild he ran into the woods and they couldnt find him for hours they finally did took him to the vet he had cuts everywhere. on his eye and his head was sliced open. they clean off a little of the blood and go oh hes fine take him home. they do and a couple hours later he starts vommiting blood they had to rush him to the er he was bleeding internally. luckilly he lived. Another time my friend came home to two dead baby kittens. she found one still alive so she rushed it to the bed because it was just barely alive. the vet was outside and absolutely refused to help her because she was on break. so my friend had to watch her little baby kitten die in her hands. ******* vets these days i swear -_-

50$ vet bill for a cat hit by a car? lucky you I paid 250$ plus a prescription because my wides cat had a watery eye. perhaps shouldn't take your cat to a vet if the sign out front is written in crayon. also sorry to hear about your cat.
