Well, it’s on her. Showing up at not her place, going through not her house, not announcing her presence to anyone who may be around. She was snooping, announcing your presence in a home you don’t live in is the common thing to do when you’re visiting or checking up or whatever. But when snooping you’re quiet.
Your MIL generally just walk into your bedroom unannounced or was this a special occasion? Even if this is true she pretty much got what she deserved.
