ahaha
LOL at all the people acting like they've never tripped before. It was just at the wrong time. And I agree that it sucks that no one came to help you. OP, FYL.
It's the thought that counts. Atleast they saw that you bought the cake.
Ok. retest that. You were sent to pick up the cake. not you bought it. So... FYL..
well atleast they know that you tried to do something, and nobody can say that you did nothing
Were you carrying both at the same time? Because that's just asking for trouble.
That is exactly what i thought! The only way you could lose the balloons AND the cake was if you were carrying both at the same time. Wind can't just blow balloons away unless you're not holding them securely. An expensive cake should be carried carefully...with both hands. It's one of those times when you watch where you're going.
FYL, It sucks when you have one of your clumsy moments at times like these. And they usually come at times like these, guess its just the nerves acting up. Don't worry about it, your boyfriend and his family have to be bigtime assholes if they didn't just laugh it off and get over it instantly. In which case, you're better off without them! :)

I realize that the embarrassing part is that everyone saw you, but at least they know that it was an accident
