#7, that only applies if you already know a good portion of the course material. If you haven't been keeping up for most of the semester and only know 10% of the material, you really have to study for as long as you can. Sleeping will give you the ability to remember that 10% really well, but that's pretty much useless.
OK THE TAKEAWAY LESSON FOR YOU HERE IS THAT A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP IS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS MORE VALUABLE TO YOU THAN 3 OR 4 MORE HOURS OF STUDY RIGHT BEFORE THE 9AM TEST. TAKE IT FROM ME, I HAD A 4.0 GPA IN COLLEGE. THE BEST THING YOU CAN LEARN IN COLLEGE IS HOW TO NOT PROCRASTINATE, IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A BIG TEST COMING, DEVELOP A PLAN TO STUDY FOR IT OVER MANY DAYS LEADING UP TO THE TEST. LEARN THAT AND YOU'LL BE AN A STUDENT.
bahahahhahahhhhahhahahhahhaa I have a friend who has the ability to sleep through things too and he too has had major FAILs like this one. good job.
Wow... so when the exam officers go around to take names, they didn't question any of the staff where you were?
Gosh i sympathize, something similar happened to me a couple of weeks ago, I had to go to a conference with my advisor and another academic, so I stayed up reading til 3am to make sure i'd master the topic... I overslept, caused them to be late because they waited for me for a while, and missed a great opportunity. You didn't deserve this although you should have revised before.
#12, turn your ******* caps off. Are you a retard or just a troll? ****.
if you studied beforehand, you wouldn't have had that problem. staying up all night is just a waste of time because you're tired and you don't remember anything.
#13, Maybe the OP is a really heavy sleeper; I know I could easily sleep through 300 people milling around, especially if I was really tired. Also, (s)he said that (s)he fell asleep with headphones on, which, depending on how loud the music was playing, could drown out the students entering the room. OP, I missed an exam my freshman year of college because I got the time wrong. Check with your professor and see if there's any way you can make it up. If not, sometimes you can retake a class for a better grade if you are within so many credits. I completely empathize and hope it works out for you.
it's not their responsibility to make sure you're up. :/

Never stay up all night studying. You just won't remember it.
Just an FYI for the future: it is better to study less and get 6-9 hours of sleep than study more and get less. You will remember things better with more sleep. Studies have shown those that get more sleep, even after studying less did better.
