Bad hair day

By grow_fasterrr - - This FML is from back in 2010 but it's good stuff - Canada

Today, I went to get a trim. However, follow-up damage control at home afterward shouldn't really be necessary on a fifty dollar haircut. FML

ydi for spending fifty dollars on a trim.

50 bucks?!? You serious, pal? Stop winking at yourself in the mirror and shave your goddamn head already.

Damn $50 is definitely standard out here in San Diego. I was not aware cuts are that much cheaper elsewhere...

where do you live?? wtf where i live, haircuts are $7.00 including tax, for both men and women not including dyes or whatever YDI for spending that much on a haircut when there are starving people on the street

What the hell does spending $50 to get a haircut have to do w/ starving people on the street?

That is why you are supposed to examine your haircut when they hand you a mirror BEFORE you leave and if it isn't

Yes, you're right about follow up damage control not being necessary on a $50.00 haircut because YOU are supposed to SAY SOMETHING if it's nit to your standard so they fix it there.

i think I speak for all hairstylists when I say, you are a bitch. if you paid $50 for a cut (where I work, "trim" is a relative term, I charge $45 no matter what) and it required "at home fixing," one of two things happened: 1. you didn't communicate what you wanted. I can't tell you how often clients expect me to read their minds. if I say "is this length okay?" and you respond "sure" I'm going to cut. 2. your stylist did screw up (honestly, I rarely see truly bad haircuts come out of salons. supercuts, sure. but not a salon where they charge $50) and you didn't have the balls to speak up. any respectable stylist will fix a mistake free of charge. no question in any case, you inevitably ruined your hair by trying to fix it, so don't come crying to a professional and blame it on your previous stylist. it's YOUR fault. own it.

#70 - I can't say I've ever met anyone who hasn't had a bad cut at some point in their life. You're the "bitch," for acting like stylists everywhere are perfect and customers are always wrong. The fact that he didn't check indicates that he has been happy up until now, so don't assume he's just a whiny bitch who never likes what he gets. And a cursory look is usually all you get because others are waiting.

Possibly one of the most poorly worded FMLs I've ever seen.

I'm a hair dresser and our prices are close maybe you should go in every 4-6 weeks like you should and it wouldn't end up costing that much

not everybody has an extra $50, to say nothing of time, every month...

Not everyone wants to cut their hair once a month, some people like long hair and just get trims for split ends...

Why is it that when people I know send in actually GOOD fmls, they never show, but one like this, which is pretty much grammatically incomprehensible, is on here? Nothing personal, OP, but it was hard to understand. However, my gripe is with the site, not the OP.

jeez, I spend way more on that for a trim. obviously, you get what you pay for.

man I pay thirty for a wash, cut, blow dry, and straightening
