Although his reasoning is off, still listen too the experts OP. Although possibly a coincidence it could have been avoided, injuring yourself just makes training harder. Take it easy and build it up!
OP don't let that discourage you, persevere and keep on training..
I don't mean to be mean, truly I don't. But when approaching any new exercise program the key is to be cautious and strive to avoid injury, even at the risk of seeming almost "wimpy." Injuries can sometimes have unexpected lifelong effects.

Just because you're little doesn't mean that you are weak. I was the smallest guy in my platoon in bootcamp and still beat the shit out of my opponents when we did body sparring. Bad luck on the ankle sprain but come back once you are healed and show them what you are made of!!
