My bf has enough control of himself to get it in without lifting the seat. No issues. Not that difficult. & he's been doing so long before I moved in
Put it down yourself.
my sister used to viscous about this when j forgot. I was pretty good about remembering, but you know 3 am and you're out of it or late but have to pee. so eventually I got tired if the dress down from my younger sibling for such a rare event and simply left the seats down for a week. apparently urine is far worse than leaving the seat up. and for those of you who think that's horrible, I spent years cleaning her menstrual blood off the seat of the toilet.
General rule in my house to prevent her (and past girlfriends) everyone puts the seat and lid down when finished. that way everyone had to lift it and 'reset' it. another argument for it is that if everyone is in the habit of lifting first, no one can bitch about using it in the middle of night and falling in.
The toilet seat thing is so stupid. I live with my boyfriend. Sometimes he leaves the seat up so I LOWER it. He doesn't complain when I leave it down. It's not a difficult concept.
It takes one second to put the toilet seat down yourself, it was unnecessary to yell at him. How long did it take to get the stench of toilet out your room? YDI
Not at home: Real gentlemen keep the seat up to keep them clean for the ladies. Seriously look at the seats in men's room stalls sometime - I always use the one left up because it's clean. At home: It's more like 50-50 whether it should be up or down with an even ratio of men to women (Men go more and don't have diarrhea); and so, any such "keep it down" is generally sexist. In conclusion: Look and be happy if it's up and clean.
YDI for being a bitch. Jesus Christ how much effort does it take to put a damn toilet seat down

Wow, your brother is one smart fella
why is it that girls are always so adamant about leaving the seat down? do guys yell at girls if the seat is down, and we have to use the very small amount of effort needed to lift the seat? cause that's pretty much the same thing
