Bragging rights

Today, I got in an argument with an ex-girlfriend who kept tactlessly bragging to me about her new boyfriend. I told her to read what she'd sent me, then pretend her boyfriend was telling her that. Fifteen minutes later, her boyfriend calls me, yelling for making her feel sad. FML

The iPhone has a really cool feature where you can block numbers

A little self reflection is good for the soul, and apparently long over due for her Good plan. It may make her a better person in the long run

Nothing OP she just wanted to make you jealous; but it backfired.. ;)

It's quite obvious that she still wants you by trying to make you jealous

I don't get it. Does this mean you were telling her to pretend that her boyfriend was bragging to her about himself? Or to pretend that her boyfriend was urging her to reread the texts she had sent about him?

He was telling her to pretend her new bf broke up with her and then went on bragging about the new girl to her.

I've been there; I had an ex who used to do the same thing. I told her "I don't care" and "**** off" several times. What finally worked for me is when I started sending her pics of the girls I was ******* (while they were fully clothed, fyi) and told her their names. Eventually she told me to **** off, and that was the last I ever heard from her.

Just tell the new boyfriend "have fun with my sloppy seconds" and then block them both

It was a smart move OP. Hopefully she will grow up a little and learn something from this. Now delete her from your life if you can, move on and find someone who is more emotionally mature.

She must not be over you, it sounds like she's trying to make you jealous. But sounds like you're way better off without her.
