Today, I freaked out when the remote wouldn't unlock my car. I stood in the rain trying to open the door. Unsure of what to do next, I called my boyfriend. He told me to "put the key in the door…" I'd forgotten about that option. FML

wellyes the key is an obvious choice but what if the remote is for an alarm? be nice people! lol My car alarm would go off if I used the key with the alarm on

Same with me. Only I found that out the hard way after the battery died! I was on my college campus and EVERYONE was staring at me because my alarm was going off and I was sitting there trying to mess with the battery to turn it off.

there is no excuse. every cAr comes with a key, even if they feature key fobs. you can't be that dense to not think of using the key. haven't you seen other people do it?not like keyless cars are what mainly populates the roads.

not every car has a key. there are also push start cars. no keys

Such a car would have a key in the fob, such that it can be pulled out and retracted.

But the fact remains on some cars if you try to unlock the door with the key, the alarm goes off and the only way to turn the alarm off is with the key fob.

67 I think even push start cars have keys. because on a dodge 1500 srt10. you put the key in then hit the start button. but on newer nicer cars I believe the key needs to be in your pocket or somewhere with you in order for it to start.
