Today, I freaked out when the remote wouldn't unlock my car. I stood in the rain trying to open the door. Unsure of what to do next, I called my boyfriend. He told me to "put the key in the door…" I'd forgotten about that option. FML

You're lucky that you have a remote with a key. My family's car uses only the remote, and the moment it dies, we're out of luck. Fortunately, that has never happened.

I've done that before. Luckily it only took me about a second to remember the key, and I didn't call anybody. Technology has ruined us that way.
