Her husband will be able to win any argument with "your mom" jokes for the rest of their marriage. On an upbeat note, there is a chance this is all luck. Maybe the mom is a cougar and didn't know who the dad was/wanted to raise the kid herself. They both move on, the guy meets and eventually marries the older daughter and then bam, meets the mom and all hell breaks lose. Basically, this is Crazy Stupid Love in real life. It could happen.
