I want a raccoon!
And? GET THIS MAN A RACCOON! ASAP! I'd love to have one of my own.
**** -i actually wouldn't mind a raccoon . I pet one on new years ! I would let my 24 year old boyfriend get an elephant for all I care !
I knew a chick that raised one.. They don't survive long (1-2 years) in captivity.. But they are super friendly
It's not impossible to keep tamed raccoons as pets. I recall reading a report from a Spanish conquistador that included remarks suggesting that the native people he was with kept raccoons as pets (describing small animals that were furred, black and white, and had prehensile hands). That said, raccoons are not, and have never been domesticated. Then again, technically, neither have cats. But having a raccoon isn't impossible, just infeasible. Don't tell your boyfriend he can't. Do insist that he considers the requirements and ramifications of acquiring and keeping an uncommon, non-domestic animal as a pet. I expect the realities implied should be amply sufficient to dissuade him.
I had to thumb up your comment for using proper English. That is all.
Raccoons are awesome pets! I had one and it helped me with dishes! They're very helpful little ***** with their busy hands

Aww but why not? He's learning responsibility
Well, why the hell not? Raise them from cubs and they're just as amiable and loving as any other slightly-less-than-common pet.
