Can't win

Today, I took my parking permit off my car to debate a ticket that I got for not having my permit displayed. Twenty minutes later, when I got back to my car, I had another ticket on my window for not having my parking permit displayed because I was using it to disprove the first ticket. FML

Crumple your ticket, cram it in your mouth, chew, and swallow. Mmm, wasted money and warrants taste delicious.

wow don't listen to papadugg. I work in a Parking depatment at a university in Cali and you can definitely get two tickets in the same day. Why would you risk taking your permit down if you just got a ticket for "no permit displayed" thats just not smart. take a picture of it displayed or something. they have record you have a permit, you dont need to bring it into the office. it proves nothing to bring it in anways.

Why did you park without displaying a ticket again? How does showing the ticket to someone at the office prove that you had it displayed when you were wrongfully ticketed the first time? Think, people! Think for yourself! Jesus won't do it for you ;-)

Was this at a college in Norther California? Cuz that sounds like my school.

Where's Norther California? Is that further north than Northern California or not as far north?

I once had to do that at my school and the entire time I was away from the car I worried that the same thing might happen to me. Sounds to me like your parking services is just as difficult and irritating as ours.

wow, lets just say that rele sucks.... times ten!

ydi. why? how does taking the parking permit in prove that it was displayed? all it proves is you have one, not that it was properly positioned.

That's double jeopardy. They can't legally do that. ( if you just got the ticket and immediately you go to dispute it and they give you another ticket for the same thing) if they did something like / then it's no different than getting a ticket for you running out of time on a parking meter and then giving you another ticket right after.
