Today, I was walking across a pedestrian crossing and waved at the driver of the car who'd stopped, just to say thank you. She stuck her middle finger up at me. FML

Do not stop and wait on the sidewalk with your car. You can see the road perfectly fine 2 feet back. Do not inch your car forward at a red light when you see a pedestrian about to cross. You aren't going anywhere until the light changes!

Pedestrians have right of way. Drivers need to stop whining and get over it. Although I WILL say in the driver's defense...are you sure that from THEIR perspective the wave didn't look like a cocky boast? I mean, it's possible and would explain their reaction.
