Shake a mason jar filled with marbles or nuts and bolts when she barks, this should do the trick.
There are two things I do that really help my dog's unwanted behaviors. Both focus around keeping his mind and body active so he is too pooped to do the things that can be a problem. The first is I invested in a toy called the bow wow flirt pole. It's almost like the fishing pole toys for cats. He loves it and I use the play time as training time. The second is I invested in a dog hiking pack. I weighed it down with water bottles and take him on long walks. Not saying that these will fix your issues op, but the key to dog training is finding out what makes your dog tick and working with it. There are 100 different reasons for nuisance barking, but if you can figure out what your dog is missing, it can make both of you a lot happier. Don't be afraid to consult a trainer if needbe. In the long run, doing that early on can save you money vs buying a bunch of devices that don't work.
To op Ydi for doing that to the dog After all your dog was prolly just trying to talk to you
I have three dogs, and when one starts howling they all join in. I bought a device that suppose to emitt(sp?) a high frequency noise the animal doesn't like. It is supposed to discourage the dog(s) from barking, or howling in my case. My dogs made so much noise that they shorted the device out. I found that a spray bottle works best with my dogs though.
Just a tip, don't buy the collars that shock them when they bark. She'll learn to not bark when she's wearing it and then bark like crazy when it's off. Speaking from experience.
That dog is genius!
Just buy one of those shock colors. Whenever she barks it shocks her. Then when you know she's ready to take it off, do it! :) and it's not cruel so don't think that. Or else they would not put it out there for animals to where
Ehm, yes, yes it is cruel. Whatever they told you about the pain threshold on animals, it's not true. They will keep selling it, because idiots will keep buying it, not because it doesn't hurt the animal. There is also a difference between a shock collar and an electronic collar. An electronic collar works on batteries, but doesn't give the shock, it sprays something in the face of the animal. A method which is considerably less painful for the animal. If the only method which works on your animal is a shock collar, you have been doing something extremely wrong in its upbringing.
you should be proud to have a dog as smart

I would take it off. There are other ways to train your dog not to bark. You just need time to teach her.
Looks like your dog owned you
