don't worry about it when the time is right u will just know. having sex before you are ready if very stressful and scary. it takes a lot of maturity and u have to be able to trust ur significant other fully and be able to talk about it.

it's not the end of the world. I think it's best to wait. especially since it could lead to babies and you have plenty of time for that :-)

There is nothing saying your age decides when you are ready. Take things slow and have fun, that is the goal, not losing your virginity.

On one hand, YDI. If you've been together for a year, you should be comfortable enough with each other. On the other hand, if you aren't ready, then that's that. Both of you have to respect that fact about each other. If your boyfriend is willing to wait and not force you into something you don't want to do, definitely a keeper.

First time I and my girl friend tried, neither of us knew anything... she was so nervous, I literally couldn't get in. So we gave up on it, broke up, got back together later. I got her pregnant, she got an abortion and we split again for good. I truly hope your first experience goes LOTS better next time. :)
