I went to my cousins funeral today.

I don't see anything wrong with this really. Sure, it could be interpreted that you enjoyed their death, but it really just sounds like "My pleasure, I'm happy to support you in your time of need". I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Yesh, don't worry. Your comment shows you weren't dragged into this, and that you care. Unless you said it with a huge grin on your face and beaming eyes, it was quite fine. They appreciate it, I'm sure, and didn't think badly of it. Besides, honestly, I'm sure the family and everyone has a lot more to be emotional about than a simple comment made by you. Consider that.
