Today, I came home earlier than usual, only to find my wife having sex with some guy on our bed. Her reaction to being confronted was to look me dead in the eyes and to scream and scream until I got so freaked out that I left. It's her house, and I'm sitting in a library with no idea what to do. FML

That's not how it usually works. In most states if only her name is on the deed, it's only her house. That applies unless they live in a community property state but most states are considered common law states where whoever's name is on the title paper owns it. But he does have a shot at taking it in the event of a divorce.

Don't just go attacking the guy. For all you know, he didn't know she was married. Even if he did happen to look at his surroundings and notice it was obvious a man lived there, too - that still doesn't mean he knew it was a husband or someone still living there. I hate when an SO cheats and the one they're cheating with gets hit. It's your wife that needs a lesson, although I don't suggest hitting her, either. I, personally, would take this chance to gtfo. I've been thinking the exact same thing! I don't get why so many people blame the other man. He's not the one who's cheating. Even if he did know she was married he's not the one to blame. Sure he is a douchebag if he knows but he's still not the one with a commitment.

Why should he beat the guy's ass? He might not have even known she was married. Everyone always blames the other person before the spouse who cheated. OP, if you're married then doesn't the house belong to you too? Go home, ignore her. Pack a bag, you don't want to sleep in that nasty bed now anyway. Get a good night's sleep in a hotel, and start contacting divorce lawyers in the morning.

Not necessarily, when the husband cheats he's blamed immediately and people call for his genitalia to be removed, and for him to lose all his assets and etc

It seems you haven't heard girls talk. Usually they call their cheating boyfriends bastards but the girl he's cheating with are according to them ***** that deserve to get HIV and so on.
