Today, I received a visit from a social worker. My son told his teacher I was starving him, all because I refused to let him eat pizza and ice cream for breakfast. FML

I doubt your child really meant it literally. Kids tend to be over dramatic, and the teacher who overheard it: Rather than actually talking to your kid to see exactly what was going on, went overboard and called social services.

simply ask the social worker for suggestions on how to "correct" this situation. what would they recommend you do so they don't waste anymore of their time and your time, and can actually get to helping a child who truly needs it.

I would be more mad at his teacher. Kids say the damnedest things but teachers should use common sense!
