Today, I was paired up with a partner in my film class. He has an idea for a film: "Shoot an onion from all angles, light it on fire, and roll it down a hill." He was dead serious. I'm stuck with this guy for the whole year. FML

It's just a random collection of thoughts put together in sequence due only in part by the nature of matter and physics because the onion must exist in all of the film. There's no technical or creative merit to this at all. It's something I'd do just for the hell of it when I was younger, but wouldn't try to pass it off for a project unless I wanted to be extraordinarily lazy.

well I find it very creative I think that would be kind of cool if u add more story 2 it or something it's called deep thinking...... it's at least unique I want him as my partner :D

it's only art if it's a purple onion and you tie small army figures to it before lighting it in fire. and cover it in dog poop. then you can call it "prisoners of war" and go hard.

So are you jealous that your partner actually had an idea and you didn't? Because you don't mention anything about volunteering your own. Don't insult the ideas of others when you have nothing to bring to the table yourself. It's just an idea, it's not like he demanded you film it or he wouldn't participate.
