That's unfortunate. They must have their reasons. Maybe 1. You look and act creepy 2. You haven't opened up to your neighbors when you first moved in 3. You have some bad luck. If you don't care about what they say you should just use it to your advantage and live like a hermit in your own apartment. Now you don't have bratty kids bothering you for anything.

Bake cupcakes and introduce yourself as Bob the friendly neighbor from 216. Smile nicely and walk away slowly, they'll be in too much shock at your openness they'll feel like the presumptuous ass' that they are. Sorry your neighbors are butt heads. Hopefully that helps otherwise I say you move if you can.
