If it were me I'd become a noisy neighbour - singing in the shower on a sunday at 6 am, loud music till late at night, running up and down the stairs. When someone comes to complain, I'd just say "If you don't like the noise, perhaps you shouldn't talk shit about me to your kids. If you can ALL come and apologise to me personally - and do it in front of your kids - then I'll stop being a niusance." Then slam the door in their face and crank the music up - the rest is up to them.
