You'll be fine once you show a Doctors note, or the statement date of surgery. Don't sweat it. My MIL was summoned to court, but had two children at home, one still nursing so she never showed. She had a warrant out for her arrest too, but just waited 7 years. It's only a problem if you run into the law! :D

This YDI depends on whether or not you actually went to the Dr. If you did, FYL get a note to prove you were there. If you just sat in pain at home, rather than sitting in pain in court, then YDI.
