Curiosity should stay at home

Today, I came across the word "pegging". Not knowing what it meant, I googled it and got a very graphic explanation. Seconds later, I realised that the webpage URL actually included the sexual nature of the meaning. The IT department have logs of every page we visit. FML

You're at work and googled a word you didn't know the meaning of... Not the smartest idea there op.

Next time, just try to contain your curiosity until you're back home.

Boy! You're not going to come out of it looking good.

Well, the log will show that you googled it first, and that you stopped after checking the first result. That should be pretty consistent with your explanation that you didn't know what it meant. You cannot seriously be blamed for checking the meaning of a word. Also, I very much doubt anyone will be fired for a single page view. If you spend an hour at work looking at ****, that't the kind of behavior that will get you fired. Not this.

From the fml that was published the other day?

There was an FML that involved pegging not too long ago and one of the top comments defined it for you. You would've been better off searching it on here instead…but anyway, don't worry about the IT's checking your browsing history. They have WAY more important and better things to do, so I doubt they check anyone's history, let alone yours. I've watched my fair share of graphic videos using my school's wifi and nothing has happened to me, so you should be okay OP. :)

That's not necessarily true. Back when I was in school a few people lost their ability to use the Internet because they watched graphic videos. They made a huge announcement about how that stuff is a violation of the agreement we signed. They also mentioned the next person/people to do it would be expelled.
