Today, my friend asked me if I could watch her mother's cats while they go on vacation. I agreed since her house is on my way to work. When I talked to her mother, I found out she has 30-something cats. She reckons she lost count. FML

What I would do is put a call into Animal Control to clear most of the cats out and when she comes back play dumb and say animal control just "showed up out of no where" and that you couldn't stop them. Haveing 30 cats isn't healthy for the women or the cats. it's impossible to take care all 30 cats properly

Call animal control, and sat a neighbor must have told on them. Most areas have a limit of how many animals a home came support (without a special permit). If she doesn't know how many she had there is absolutely no way they're being properly cared for.

You're a moron if you think you must account for all the damn cats in the house, especially if the broad can't keep count of how many she owns. Throw a back of cat food on the ground, and that's it. If you wanna go the extra mile, clean up the shit, but demand more compensation for it.

No one assumes someone owns 30+ cats. Your friend knew this when she asked you to care for them. She's shown herself to be a user by requesting this of you without giving you the pertinent details. Given the circumstances, go back and tell her "no" ("When I said I could do it, I thought your mother had one or two cats. There's no way I can or will care for 30+ cats. ")
