Today, after a month of planning, I started to tease my boyfriend of 3 years about the wonderful anniversary plans I had made for us. It was a secret, so I let him try and guess. He said, "As long as it's not a spa day. That would suck, I'd never go." It's a spa day. That I've already paid for. FML

Today, it's my birthday. My boyfriend’s birthday is a month before mine. I'd spent my birthday savings on his, but he told me that we couldn’t do anything for mine because, “I didn’t plan or organize better.” FML

Today, it is my three-year-anniversary with my boyfriend. I asked if he had planned anything for us, and he said yes. My parents volunteered to watch our daughter, I got all excited, and apparently our "plans" are to watch a football game. What do I get to do? Make sandwiches. For him. FML

Today, it's our fifth-year anniversary with my boyfriend. I gave him his gift and walked over to the kitchen to serve him some food I'd made. On my way back to the dining room, I overheard his plans with his friend to ditch me in 10 minutes. FML

Take your best friend and get him something else and just don't tell him about your original idea. It's not that big of a deal. P.S. You'd think after 3 years you'd know if he liked spa days or not.

The majority of guys will not enjoy a spa day. This is a perfect example of the difference between men and women. You absolutely deserved it, especially after three years.

A grown guy getting a day at the spa as a present is on par with a young boy getting a Barbie doll as a present. If he doesn't like it, don't act like he's the jerk because it's an extremely selfish and inconsiderate present!

That sucks :( I'm a massage therapist & worked at this spa where we always saw couples coming in together... While the men always started out embarrassed and wanting to run, by the time it was time to go none of the guys wanted to leave :) the biggest he man loves being pampered, as long as their buddies don't find out ;)
