Might as well have bought him a Louis Vuitton purse and matching shoes.
You should have probably saved this one for your female friends.... I don't think many guys like going to spas.
Why is the spa assumed to be a gay-only thing? LOL. My boyfriend wouldn't have minded going to the spa. xP And he's not gay. ;) I do agree that you should have known whether you're boyfriend would like it or not. Some guys would, some guys wouldn't. And if you didn't know you shouldn't have taken the chance with an anniversary. Just ask if he'd like to go on a day that wasn't so vital. Then if he liked it you could do it again for an anniversary later on. :) It does suck that you spent money on it and then had him say that. But I'm sure you could find someone else to go to that with and pulled something else together. Or just told him what had happened and if he still didn't want to go, then plan something else together. YDI. :P
You should know your boyfriend of three years better then that. Honestly. And if you didn't know he hated spa's, you should of thought of something you knew he would want to do, instead of selfishly buying the thing you wanted. Either cancel the stupid spa thing or take one of your friends. Then put him first and make plans for something he'll like. If you want, it can be something both of you like. Just make sure it's not something just for you.

FYL for already paying for it, but YDI for not knowing what he likes.
Take your best friend and get him something else and just don't tell him about your original idea. It's not that big of a deal. P.S. You'd think after 3 years you'd know if he liked spa days or not.
