Delusional

Today, my dad gave me a speech about being gay. He said he'll accept me if that's who I truly am, but he wants me to think it over first. I'm an actor in a play. I had to explain the concept of wearing costumes and acting like someone else to him. For the third time. FML

at least he accepts it if you were gay...I mean even though you're not, some kids get kicked out of their houses for being gay

Give him some time, he needs to process what you said all three times.

being in a play isn't gay. I've been in several plays/musicals and I'm not gay. in fact I actually met a girl I used to date at practices

I'm wondering if the OP meant that his character is gay in the play he's in.

What play is it? Maybe this is why he is concerned.

Don't you mean two "and" a half?

*DocBastard looks in his crystal ball and sees this comment section getting nuked by a mod* Watch out, people. I foresee something bad happening.

Oh my living Christ Doc, reading this level of miscomprehension makes me want to stick red-hot needles in my eyes.

You are the type of person that annoys the shit out of me and deep down you are an embarrassment to your family!!!!

I am such a grammar nerd but I couldn't actually focus on this post because of 'an speech' it's A SPEECH. @.o Welp, I'm insane. Still, that's pretty awful OP, maybe your dad was joking? ... After the first explanation perhaps?

Well, that's nice to know that he'll still love you after you come out of the closet to yourself. Father knows best!

just admit it, YOU can't spell. if you're going to try and post something and be clever, learn the difference between Your and You're. Dipstick.

isn't ur dad supposed to be smarter than you? so he should understand right!!?? parents these days goshhh

You should be thanking your dad. Ya he doesn't get the acting thing and costumes and such but he DOES get that he loves you and accepts you no matter what and is not afraid to say it. That's huge.
