that is not funny at all! i have a severe, life-threatening peanut allergy myself. i cannot touch or inhale peanuts without risking an anaphylactic reaction (anaphylaxis = giant hives, swelling of the throat, face, & tongue, shock, and loss of consciousness in about 20 min or less). therefore, i totally sympathize with you. that kid, like most kids, probably didn't understand just how serious your allergy is, but still. children can be incredibly cruel. i've heard stories about little kids in elementary school playing a "joke" on their peanut-allergic classmate by swapping their sandwich for a peanut butter one or feeding a kid something they knew had peanuts in it 'cos they thought it would be "funny". all of you who are criticizing the OP for not watching the kid well enough or not just cleaning up the peanut butter are TOTALLY ignorant. why on earth should she risk her life for the stupid little kid? if it were me, i would have called the parents immediately and had them come home and deal with their brat. once again, peanut allergies are nothing to laugh about. for someone with a severe peanut allergy, what this kid did is the equivalent of someone holding a loaded gun and covering the stairs with anthrax. that child is not "smart" or "cool" or "awesome"...there's nothing cool about trying to kill someone.
This, so much. It really pisses in my cornflakes when people say that these horrifically misbehaved children are "awesome" and "teh kewlest kydz evar!!!!!!111" because they do something that could really harm someone. But maybe that's just me, Little Miss Negative Nancy. :D
Oh, come on, it's not the little kid knew about all these dangers. Probably if she had known, she wouldn't have done it. She was being a little kid. I'm physically disabled, and had the OP had the same disability as me and the child created the appropriate obstacle, I'd still find it funny.
"If you HAVE a kid with a life-threatening peanut allergy... don't get too attached. I suggest referring to him as 'The Boy'." Peanut allergies ARE a laughing matter if you're Tim Nutt or one of his fans.
If anything happens you might be able to hold the parents responsible.
deserve it or not that kid ia effin awesome
yeah, i'd call the parents. if you're severely allergic, then that really isn't funny. it's creative, yes...but not funny. everyone who thinks this is awesome should think about someone putting cyanide in their oatmeal and how "awesome" that would be. that kid should be in a ward.
that kid is awesome

..And this is the reason my husband may interact with our child, but not actually TEACH her anything. He'd do this, I know he would. FYL, she's too smart.
