Didn't see ya there!

Today, I borrowed a van to move some of my furniture. I wasn't used to the brakes so when I stopped at a red light, I pretty much ended up in the crosswalk. Suddenly, I heard a loud thud at the side of the van. I turned to see what idiot would walk into a van. It was a blind man. FML

**** his life. This isn't really an FML because nothing really happened to you. If anything, you deserve it for being in the walking lane and using a car you weren't completely used to.

well, it IS an FML because he feels guilty and mortified that he stopped too far forward at the lights and caused the blind man to run into his van. The blind man just didn't expect to have it happen, and was probably walking fairly fast, crossing the street, therefore having no time to react to the fact that his path was blocked when his cane (if he had one) hit the van i dunno...but either way, F- both their lives..for a short period of time after that incident anyway.

yes but he stopped at a red light. which means the blind guy could of started walking after he stopped, and he wouldn't hear anything but sounds of engines on the street. he stopped it too far forward where pedestrians are supposed to cross, so therefore blind dude could not of heard him.

Todays I was walking in the neighbor hood. It was the first time I was out in months due to ym lack of confidence. I am blind and once ran into a tree and broke my nose. I left my cane at home because I been on this path a million times. I heard my seeing eye dog sleep so I chose to walk alone. About half way through the walk some idiot parked their car in the middle of the sidewalk. Hello chipped toothe.
