Today, I was starting to get freaky with my boyfriend when his dad came in with no warning to let the dog into my boyfriend's bedroom. His dad noticed what was going on and covered the dog's eyes instead of just leaving. FML

Today, I was getting a bit intimate with my boyfriend. Just when things were getting interesting, my dog managed to get into my room. He jumped on the bed and my boyfriend spent the next 20 minutes playing with the dog, while I sat next to him, half naked. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I were having phone sex. It got very wild and soon was interrupted by a knock on my door. My dad had come home early from work, and heard the whole thing. He demanded my boyfriend to come over, and he had a sex talk with him on the couch in front of the whole family. FML

Today, I decided to be adventurous and give my boyfriend head in the downstairs TV room. Just as he was about to come, I heard someone walking towards the door. I took my mouth off to get up and lock the door right as he came. I didn't make it to the door but my dad saw something he will never forget. FML

Today, was my boyfriends last night visiting my family. My dog decided to go through the trash, then ran up to my dad with one of our used condoms caught on her teeth. My parents didn't even know we were sleeping in the same room. They know a lot more now. FML

I'm sure that was really awkward for everyone, but YDI because it's his dad's house, right? Maybe not having sex with the door unlocked when his family is home would be more respectful.

Everyone saying that they should have locked the door, not all bedroom doors have locks. Some parents don't believe in it for safety reasons. The dad should have knocked yes but you can't just blame them for not locking the door.

I'm sorry that you've been raised to think having sex is some disrespectful, shameful act. It's natural, enjoyable and nothing to be ashamed of. And if they do it in the house at least they have a place where they can do it safely and in privacy (if you don't live with people that don't respect other's privacy). It's not like they were getting it on in the middle of living room with people around them. Being a parent/owner of the home or whatever does not give you the right to deprive others of their privacy. Sex will happen whether you like it or not and you should teach your kids to practice safe sex not make them think sex is some bad thing.
