I wish the best for you OP! Maybe try switching your meds and getting a lot of rest the next couple weeks. hope all goes well (:
Most likely what your doctor thought was that you would be off your feet while recovering, which is something I would recommend so you would avoid further complications.
Report that to your doc and demand fir meds that actually help you out. That's outrageous.
Your comment made me think of the cross dressing uncle from the Cleveland show "That's Outrageous!"
Definitely one of my favorite characters in the show.
Ask for a different medication, or stay high.. XD
Get well soon OP. When I walk to the kitchen at night to get a drink I usually hit my toe before entering, sort of entry ticket. I hope you don't suffer and consult your doctor.
Nope. You can't avoid it. The walls move a couple of centimeters every night and go right where you don't expect them.
I'd recommend calling your doctor immediately so more accidents don't occur and result in more injury. You definitely need to change your medication Op.
This is why I never go to the doctor for ingrown toenails! Instead, go get a pedicure. They don't cut your toe open then put you on meds, they just dig it out from the side of your nail. So much better!! :-)
That's not the case for everyone. Ingrown nails can't always be easily pulled out and do require being cut out when it's severe.
That is an extremely misguided approach. Ingrown toenails can become infected or inflamed to the point where medical intervention is necessary (as in the FML, where OP appears to have required minor surgery). In such an instance entrusting the problem to a pedicurist without medical training who works in conditions that are almost certainly not medically sterile would be very inadvisable.
Yeah, I've got to agree with the other two commenters responding to you. I had an ingrown toenail that got infected to the point that I was hospitalized and put on IV antibiotics and eventually had to have it surgically removed. I'm a paraplegic, so I can't relate to OP's pain exactly, but it did cause a lot of severe muscle spasms
pedicures can also be the cause of ingrown toenails because they have cut them too short or cut them in a way that just leads to an ingrown toenail. and noone should ever go digging in your toe. that can make it worse. i dont go to a general doctor for mine, anyway. i go to a podiatrist as they specialise in feet. & i've never had my toe cut open nor put on meds for the removal of an ingrown toenail.
Ok sorry, my mistake. Mine have never been so severe & I've never known anyone to get an infected one or need surgery. I apologize!

Sounds like the kind of situation that would keep you on your toes.
What medication are you taking? it sounds like it is not having the desired effect. Call your doc.
