I'm a 5+ year CPhT in Texas. If OP, or anyone else for that matter, is ever caught in this situation again, DO NOT leave the pharmacy until the pharmacist contacts the doctor's office. If it's during office hours, they'll get the rx over the phone. If they're closed, there will be an on call physician to page who will be able to take care of calling the order in. Mistakes happen, no one is perfect, but a lot of times if the pharmacy staff isn't being proactive, a little polite pressure from the patient will push them in the right direction.
So the first thing you do is hop on fml.com?
were you at the right pharmacy? I had this happen and they called it in to the Walgreens near the hospital, and I went to the one by my house. They were able to get the prescription from the other location, but it took about 30 minutes for anyone to question the location...

You had me at "oral".
Well then you missed the part where someone had been going "back and forth for hours"
