Easy fix

Today, I rang my girlfriend to make sure she made it home alright. She told me to check my Facebook. Nothing was different so I hit refresh. We were no longer in a relationship. I got dumped via Facebook whilst on the phone to her. FML

Super harsh, but also super slick. that is one quite thinking, quick witted girl. The only way this would be better would be if OP had gotten the notification whilst talking to his ex and she hadn't had to prompt him. But, like someone else had already commented, this is stolen from a cell provider commercial, so points are lost. Still a good burn.

Read the comments before crying fake, dude. Many people have posted very similar stories of their own. The cell commercial (as it's been described; I haven't seen it) is funny because it's an exaggeration of a common event.

Who cried fake? I cried unoriginal. Points lost for being unoriginal. If there is a commercial made on this premise, then probably it's a very common thing to happen. Commercials are the guy who shows up to the party late and tries to tell a story that everyone else has already told and laughed about. Please try to read a little more carefully and critically.
