Fight Club

Today, my wife and I were having a fight, when she grabbed my car keys and threw them over into the neighbors overgrown junk yard. My car is a restored '59 Belvedere and the keys can't be replaced. I've been looking for hours and I still can't find them. FML

Well, I guess now you know that if the two of you had an argument next time... Be careful with what you say!

Chris Brown? Don't hit Rihanna again. They'll put you UNDER the jail, this time.

Sounds like a great marriage!

Judgemental much? Every couple argues now and then.

People need to learn how to control their anger and not overreact... Personal growth should ideally be done before entering a relationship. Arguing is one thing, fighting dirty is another!

That car is worth more than her life... Keep searching op. kind of a childish thing to do during a fight. Who grabs the keys to a car and throws them over the fence anyways? Fyl.

olpally...I am very disappointed in this comment. You are usually a fairly stand up guy. But, "the car is worth more than her life?" What the heck? Shame, shame on you.

Look, my dads an auto mechanic and I know a lot about cars. That car is really valuable, for her to take those keys and throw them over the fence knowing the value of the car like I do. Oh man, I'm sorry there is no reason for her to do that. I understand but still, you don't take someone's car keys and throw them over the fence, that's just stupid. Especially with the kind of car he has. I'm sure she knew what the value of the car was.

Oh, don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to justify or even excuse her actions. Throwing things when you are upset is never appropriate. I was just saddened to see a man actually say that a car is more valuable than a woman. :-(

I know, that isn't right. But that's a big no no on the woman's part... Just saying. Never touch our keys to something as valuable as that kind of car.. Sorry if I upset you. :/

Take it from this mechanic. Use a strong magnet, preferably one with a telescopic handle. Run it along the ground, it will pick up most metal, hopefully your keys.

Yes, but it will also pick up all the junk in the neighbors "junk yard" as well :/

Metal detector, or a couple of magnets on a stick. Old harddisk magnets should work if you dont have rare earth strong ones? f all else fails start cleaning the neighbors yard. You will eventually find it. And as soon as you do so, get a copy made or tie some beeping thingie to it that you can activate remotely when needed. Good luck! * off to google belvedere *

You should make her find them. It's her fault they're gone.

What is that, some kind of beer fridge? It makes sense to lock up your booze, but I didn't realize a Belvedere beer fridge was so secure!

"My car is a restored '59 Belvedore" That joke doesn't really work when the OP specified that the Belvedore is a car....

there is no greater way to hurt a car guy than to take away his keys, i'm sorry OP
