Today, my wife and I were having a fight, when she grabbed my car keys and threw them over into the neighbors overgrown junk yard. My car is a restored '59 Belvedere and the keys can't be replaced. I've been looking for hours and I still can't find them. FML

Nice car. If you look in Hemming's Motor News, there are probably folks selling reproduction and/or NOS blanks for old Mopar products, and you can probably take the blank to a locksmith to get another set of keys cut. (Two sets, this time.) EBay would be another good place to look--in fact, I found two sellers selling blanks for a 1959 Plymouth just by searching for "Plymouth key blanks".

Locksmith have blanks no need to special order or eBay them.

That's why you always make extra keys, in case you lose them or in your case your girlfriend throws them away.

He likely does have spares. Does the ability to get into the vehicle somehow negate the thousands of dollars in value she threw into the neighbor's scrap heap?

He probably doesn't have spares because its a 54 year old car with original keys and ignition. You try to keep track of a spare key over a 54 year time period.
