First date hell

Today, a girl asked me out on a date to some hot springs, about 2 hours away. After a mile hike, the springs were finally in sight. She then slipped and cut her shin open. I had carry her the mile back and drive her the 2 hours to the ER, where her parents, whom I'd never met, were waiting. FML

Hey, loom on the bright side! To her you're probably like her hero

Sounds like a good story to tell friends, could be a funny story if you ever end up dating

Aww! You're her knight in shining armor! Think of it as investing in a charming anecdote to tell at your wedding rather than missing out on some poon-tang one night.

Don't worry about it OP! She probably sees you as a hero now :)

I would have been wiggin' out! Good thing you were able to get her to help. Sorry that screwed up your date, but I hope you will have another one when she gets better :)

What an introduction of meeting her parents...well next time go first and offer a hand down that step

what? That comment has absolutely no contextual relevance to the post

im so sorry op, thats like one shitload after another. that must have been very terrifying for you, not to mention very tiring

I think you meant to just post this on the previous FML?

I don't see t the FML. You did something so caring. Unless at the hospital the parents assumed you hurt her or encouraged her to do something that would hurt her, the parents would see you as their daughter's savior. The only FML I see is carrying her, and that's if she's heavy. You're a good man. I actually see it as sad that you would call this an FML. For one thing it should be hers. "Today, I invited a boy I like to hike with me to see hot springs. When we got there, I fell and cut my shin open. The boy had to carry me the mile back, and then drive me two miles to the ER with my parents who he had never met there. FML" It had to be more embarrassing to her. You did a good thing.
