Today, I went to a date with a girl I thought liked me. We sat down at a restaurant, ordered some food and started talking. After 30 minutes, she said with a sigh of relief, "THANK GOD! There's my dad. Now I can leave. Bye, thanks for the dinner." The food hadn't even arrived yet. FML

Today, I was sitting in the restaurant waiting for my blind date to come. I had sat for an hour until I finally got fed up and went to leave when at the same time the guy at the table next to me stood up to leave too. I noticed he had been sitting alone. Turns out he was my date. FML

Even if he was boring, where are people's manners these days? You make the best of the date and then tell them at the end that you had fun (even if you didn't really) but it's just not working out. Or if you REALLY just can't stand to stay, at least be gentle about it. This girl was just brutal.

Since when does food take over thirty minutes to get to you? And just take it as a sign that she didn't actually like you. Just because you thought she did doesn't mean it's true. I agree with #12, it was probably a bet or something. I'm sick of FMLs like this. "Today, someone didn't like me, boohoo. FML."

yeah, why do people go on dinners on the first date. it's just the perfect recipe for fail: expensive, too forced.. just grab a drink, much easier to end and you can always go on and get dinner.
