Not a big deal. I fumble my words all the time and just laugh it off. Every once and a while, I'll get a weird look but for the most part, no one really seems to care. Just don't stress over it. (I know, easier said than done).
i want to know why u seem to think this is an fml? this kinda crap happens to people on a daily basis. stop whining, get up, and go look in the classifieds. there are other jobs they are just hard to find right now.
Unless your name isn't Kate, there's nothing wrong with this. You simply continue on and act like you have some sense. No one is going to hold a simple conversation stumble against you, especially one like this that isn't really an inappropriate response, unless you stop and make a big deal about it.
this is not a fml....they must be getting desperate for stories...
How is this an FML? Honestly? All you have to do is politely correct yourself, and it's not like saying your name followed by a thank you is rude, unless you use it with a rude tone. And then if you did use it with a rude tone, YDI, because it's a job interview. D8
YDI for having the free time to waste on such a pointless FML story...!

Well that sounds weird but it shouldn't have killed the interview by any means.
It sounds like she was just saying her name and thanking the interviewer, which is not a big deal.
