So? He asked your opinion, and you gave your honest opinion, he shouldn't get mad. My band did the same thing to another friend of ours and he said about the same thing. You know what we did? We pushed the singer back to lead guitar, and got another guy who has more of a melodic voice. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. The old singer wasn't even mad either.
It was your honest opinion, and it's exactly he asked for. not an FML, and certainly not your fault.
mate? what are you, Australian?!
At least it was an honest answer.
He asked, you answered.
We need more people like OP on American Idol to tell people they can't sing.
Ooh... Damn
OP at least you had the balls to be honest. It sucks for your friend but with practice and coaching he can get better. Imagine how your friend feels. "Today, my best mate listened to my band and said I can't sing. FML"

Well he asked, so he got what he wanted.
Agree with #1....he didn't tell you whose band it was before he got your opinion on the subject because he wanted an honest opinion out of you. You gave him one- he should've told you it was his band before asking an opinion if he was just fishing for a compliment.
