Forgive student debt now!

Today, I was watching a TV show about people with shopping addictions. One girl was $15,000 in debt and I thought how horrible it would be to live with that. Then I realized that I'm in medical school and currently $135,000 in debt. At least they have something to show for their debt. FML

At least you will have a good career once you are done with school!

"At least they have something to show for their debt"? What does that mean? In a few years you'll have a respectable career. A pile of shiny things won't help you earn money the same way a medical degree can.

FML I'm in debt because I CHOSE to put my self in debt to become a doctor. YDI, nd congratulations for making it so far.

Quit whining. You're an idiot. Debt from shopping and debt from choosing to go to med school are not in the same ballpark. If you'd rather having a bunch of useless shopping purchases instead of the foundation of a career, YDI, and please drop out so you don't try and practice medicine with your head up your ass.

If you think medical school isn't "something to show", you're clearly in the wrong field. You have no pride in what you do and you'll make a lousy doctor. Unless you change your mindset, drop out and save people the trouble of having a mediocre doctor.

Sounds like you're fishing for compliments on how wonderful you are for wanting to save lives and how smart you must be for having made it this far. Suck it up. You must have considered the amount of debt you would be in before you applied, so don't whine now.

Addiction != paying for education. Unless you're going into a field that pays poorly and/or will make you miserable, because student loans ARE a bitch to pay back if you're not raking in the dough. That as it may be...it definitely does feel miserable, going to school longer while all of your friends for high school are graduating and getting decent jobs that involve much less stress. Hang in there, and keep your eyes on the goal.

You're in med school, if you're smart with the money you're making after you graduate, you can have your student loans paid off within 4 or 5 years. Then you'll have the fact that you're a doctor to show for your work, and isn't that better than 500 pairs of shoes? This isn't an FML.

as long as it's a federal loan debt and not credit card debt, you'll easily be able to pay it off, and you'll be a really rich guy in the end. that other girl is just ****** for life...

school loans are better than credit cards debt.

You're going to commit suicide if you don't make it.. for your sake I hope you make it :P
