you'll have so much to show for it in no time at all! Definitely! maybe you even do right now! Ah. Don't think like that!
You'll have something to show when you're making $800,000 a year and all these others have are their worn-out clothes.
I agree with 182. You think they have something to show for it? Yes, they do. Terrible credit and incredibly low self-esteem.
um, they have nothing to show, actually. They're superficial and can't keep their finances straight, or live within their means. You, on the other hand, do have something to show. You're pursuing a career that will eventually pay off your debt. Plus, being a doctor or studying to be one is contributing to society in ways worth more than whatever your debt is. I find it extremely dumb and sad that you think you're doing worse off than those people on TV. Also, if you can't value your future career or current education properly, then maybe you shouldn't be in med school.
You're an idiot -- I hope you never are my doctor. Those assholes threw away money they don't have on useless shit, and you've invested in a career that will make you lots of money (and you might accidentally help people, even save a life or two) and gain you lots of respect. If you can't see the difference, you need to borrow another $10,000 to take a course called "Getting You Head Out of Your Ass."
The difference with you is that you are actually getting something out of all that money spent, and as long as you're a good doctor it will be easy to pay off... eventually... The people who are shopaholics are people that are just trying to fill a void in their lives with tangible objects. You're ahead of the game.
you sound like an idiot and a whiny loser.

At least you will have a good career once you are done with school!
"At least they have something to show for their debt"? What does that mean? In a few years you'll have a respectable career. A pile of shiny things won't help you earn money the same way a medical degree can.
