I can't believe how many people are saying "good for you OP, he cares for you and will defend/avenge you if your bf hurts you"... COME ON. Making mistakes and getting hurt is the way to learn how to live your life. Yes, it's good that her parents care, not so they'll take care of it if the boyfriend's a dick, but so they'll support her if he hurts her. Her parents won't always be there to rescue her, and most definitely won't go beat up her boss if she gets fired, or her husband if she gets divorced, etc. She needs to learn how to deal with life and that everything in life has risks. So no, this is terrible parenting. Comforting her if he dumps/hurts her, yes. Beating him up if he dumps/hurts her, no.
Yeah, sorry OP, but your boyfriend is a dumbass. Why bring something like that up at a family BBQ? He should be in a cold sweat trying to impress your family, not trying to be kinky.
My dad would do the same thing no worries OP, my dad has an issue with me wearing my bathing suit in front of my bf
ur boyfriend deserved it, he needs to respect u more, who wants to hear the "fun" about another family member and there boyfriend will hav. hav u no respect too, to bring a rude and disrespectful person for ur family to meet. if i was ur dad id hav done the same thing
So this works both ways with parents who joke about what they'll be doing later? While I'll admit that the boyfriend was a bit of an idiot to speak of things like that within hearing range of what was most likely OP's entire family, her father seriously over-reacted unless she's under sixteen and her boyfriend's way older. Reminding your child's SO about respect and the appropriateness of what should and shouldn't be discussed in public is fine. Physically abusing them even under the guise of an "accident" is not.
Good thing you're nobodys dad 70.
Your dads insane

most dad's are overprotective OP, I have a feeling my dad would do the same thing -_-
Well, accidents happen.
