It's not a huge deal, grammar Nazi. Did you really need to waste his time correcting him? Sure, it was an overreaction, but shouldn't you have known better? If he's the type to get angry like this, you'd have to be retarded to not see this coming, or at least realize your criticism would go unappreciated.
learn to read, it says "my NEW boss". forgive him for not knowing the guy's personality intimately from square one
Alright, my bad, but that just means OP spent a first impression by correcting the boss over a small mistake. Do you really want the first thing your new boss remembers you doing to be correcting him? Keep in mind, I don't support the boss at all; I'm just saying that grammar mistakes aren't a big deal, so why waste peoples' time? You'll just come off as annoying. It's not like OP was proofreading something that was going to be published; it was just a memo.
cus typos never happen to you....
There is a difference between a typo and a flat out usage error. A typo is when you type 'were' when you meant 'where.' A usage error is when you think 'your' and 'you're' are interchangeable.
Are you dating my ex?
holy ****. what happened to your face?!
I hate when people use apostrophes in plurals.
I mean, as long as OP corrected him without mallicious intent, it's not a YDI. It wasn't like OP was trying to make his/her boss look stupid. What I think everyone is forgetting is that OP corrected a memo, which is supposed to be a professional document without error, even if said document is not going to be published.
The first law of power is: Never outshine the master
Why do people find it necessary to correct grammar ?? Unless your a English teacher and teaching a class STFU no one cares about the proper use of your and you're, unless it's your job to correct grammar then keep your trap shut.
In the real world, you need to write correctly, ask anyone that works in an office. Oh and it's *you're an english teacher YOUR comment and that of all the people that complain about grammar, are the dunbest comments ever. Why? Because even though you know you made a mistake, you defend it with your life, thus making you the biggest idiot alive.
* dumbest
Wow, I put "fallen" instead of "falling" sorry.
