Today, I told my boyfriend I was pregnant. He seemed thrilled, and went to buy some wine to celebrate. He left 11 hours ago and won't come back. FML

Am I the only one who thinks that a sexually active couple should have the 'what if I got pregnant' talk before it happens? OP, I hope he does come back. It's not right to run when you're 50% at fault. He needs to be responsible. If he doesn't want to be a father, he should sign off his rights and stay away forever. A child has the right to be wanted by both parents.

Thank you! This kind of stuff drives me crazy. I can't stand that any guy would thing that it's ok to just walk out on a child that he helped create just because it isn't growing inside him.

I definitely agree with you on that one. Having this talk is very important even if you aren't in a serious relationship. I've that conversation with every single boyfriend or fuddy I've had. If we aren't on the same page then things need to be seriously reconsidered.
