Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, because apparently I need to "grow up". He's the one who excessively plays Call of Duty and still has Pokémon and Bionicles in his room. FML

Yep, you definately need to grow up. There's nothing wrong with playing video games and having 'collectables' (aka Toys) as long as they don't take over your life. Your childish reaction to this breakup shows me that you need to grow up regardless if he does or not.

I personally avoid those gamer types in my relationships, they've never been my bag. I rarely find one that doesn't have other maturity issues. Hobbies and collecting are fine, but its rarely just that with these types of guys. They can be great friends, though. I'm sorry about your break-up. Take this time for yourself. After all, if YOU want to be mature [and make sure no one will ever have reason to call you that], you have to work on your maturity as well. If he see's you working on yourself he may view you differently. But really, work on maturity for your own sake.

Hobbies don't represent maturity. Plenty of successful and mature people play games and like childish things, they are being true to themselves and aren't willing to fake who they are for the sake of fornicating with women like every god damn male on the planet. He may have maturity issues, but saying that the Pokemon and such means he's immature is a stupid conception based on what the average person in our society thinks, and the average person is borderline retarded. Don't generalize, Pokemon has nothing to do with immaturity.
