Grow up

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, because apparently I need to "grow up". He's the one who excessively plays Call of Duty and still has Pokémon and Bionicles in his room. FML

Dude, your boyfriend broke up with you and you posted a whiney FML about it? Who -really- needs to grow up?

Yep, you definately need to grow up. There's nothing wrong with playing video games and having 'collectables' (aka Toys) as long as they don't take over your life. Your childish reaction to this breakup shows me that you need to grow up regardless if he does or not.

I enjoy how it's still "nerdy" and "immature" to play video games, although I do see one or two freaks posting that need to put the controller down for a few minutes. I'm seeing a girl right now that's really cool with the whole gaming thing, and actually wants to try and play games with me. That's how you do things in a relationship, you at least try and do the other person's thing, you'd be surprised about all stuff you like, that you didn't know about.

Can you give me his number? I need a partner for Resident Evil 4.

Call of Duty > Pretty much everything. As for the Pokemon and bionicles, as long as he isn't out actually *playing* with them, then it really shouldn't be a problem GTFO and stop your incessant B*tching.

I m with #368 Guys have hobbies, be it video games or whatever... I don't know what the exact reasoning for his "grow up" statement is, but I can make a pretty good guess. Quit whining, stop thinking about yourself, and learn to accept your bf for who he is. If you REALLY loved him that is...

From what I can tell, you are better off without him. Or he is better off without you. Or both. After all, you both seem immature. Just forget about him.

Honestly, that's how guys are. Whatever you did that he thought was immature should have been talked out between the two of you first. If whatever it was you did was immature enough for him to recognize or at least call it immature indicates that the both of you need to either readjust your expectations of each other, or well, figure out how to change.

#55 took the words out of my mouth (hands?). Nostalgia FTW. Also, I noticed that when I went to college, it was suddenly OK to like kid stuff again. In fact, this is a trait found in many mature people. The immature ones do "adult stuff" like drinking, drugs, etc.
