Okay this is not a big deal, kids like to put things in their mouths, it's how they explore the world. And the mother did the responsible thing in scolding her child when he chewed on your jacket. If and when you have your own children, they will do thins that embarass you or don't seem appropriate to you BECAUSE THEY ARE CHILDREN they make mistakes sometimes. Get over it.
It is a big deal if you let your kid chew on someone ELSES jacket for a while before you tell them to stop. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's pretty rude and unhygenic for a kid to be putting a strangers thing in his mouth (lol). I'll teach my kids not to chew on strangers things, and you will let them do it for a little so they can "explore the world" and then they will get the swine flu or slapped. happy parenting!
Seriously, not a big deal? It's parents that think nothing their rugrat does is a big deal that are raising spoil brats that grow up thinking they can do whatever and expect everything handed to them for doing nothing. This kid should have been scolded the first time he touched something that wasn't his, not the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th.. But "it's not a big deal". Some people (most people) should not be raising/not raising kids. Some parents need to be bitch slapped using their little rotten snot-nosed rugrat as the weapon. If you don't want to raise them properly, don't have them.
Wow. Overreaction much? The mother most likely scolded the child the second she SAW the situation. If she scolded the child, why would she wait to do so? That makes no sense. Yes, she should have seen it sooner, but nothing in this says she was just sitting by and letting it happen. I mean common sense dictates that she didn't watch the child chew on the jacket for a while and then after a minute or two decide it was wrong. You dont wait a minute or two to scold. When you see it, it's like a knee-jerk reaction. frenchiek8 is right. Kids are kids are kids. They put things in their mouth, and you aren't always going to be there to see it or stop it. Yes, germs are everywhere, but if you OVERsanitize your child, they're going to end up with more health issues than normal kids. The gross stuff kids do helps build up their immune system. Yes, if you see your child put something in their mouth, you're going to stop it. Still doesn't mean you're always going to see it.
The OP said the mother scolded her child, so she was not being an entitled parent, she probably told the kid to stop as soon as she saw what he was doing. And # 22, if you think you'll be able to stop your child from ever doing something that you don't want him to good luck and I'd like to see you take care of a child for just one day. Even well brought up, well disciplined kids do stuff they're not supposed to once in awhile. Remember yourself as a kid and if you never did anything bad then that means your parents were way too overbearing.
Seriously? Get over it.
oh well . wash it off
should have told him u got something else for him to chew on when he is done with the jacket!
some of you are saying this isn't an FML and get over it and stuff. well to that person it obviously was an FML moment - and would any of you like it if some random kid was chewing on your jacket? i wouldnt. FYL, OP.
This is more of a FTCL (****-the-child's-life) than it is yours since he put your dirty jacket in his mouth. For anyone right now saying "how do you know the jacket is dirty?" Everything is dirty. However, putting it in his mouth isn't going to kill or even harm him since we all put a lot of stuff in our mouths that don't belong there i.e, sand, toys, dirt, pens, ******, etc. This would be more of a FNL (****-no1's-life). Or maybe even a FMIAL (****-my-internet-audience's-life) for having to read this and not even get a laugh out of it. **** you OP, **** you.
^^^ WIN. bahahaha
I wouldn't want some kid chewing on my jacket either, but it's not like it's hard to wash it. I wouldn't say YDI, but I do agree that this isn't really an FML. There does need to be a third button, maybe an "irrelevant" or "I don't care" button.
babies are cute when they bite things lol
although when babies bite they don't care bout what it is they don't know till they make a face lol
ooooooh its the end of the world cause a Baby chewed your coat!! Ooooohh violinist get busy its soo sad! OP get over it this isnt annoyed my life its **** my life! Good Grief!!

Hmm..... someone is tugging on something that I wear. I shall ignore it. (time passes) Oh no. I am in a terrible predicament. A small child has put my washable coat is his mouth. This F***s my day completely.
Not all that big a deal, unless he somehow bit a hole through it. Jackets can be washed.
