Hard act to follow

Today, my girlfriend threatened to leave me if I didn't follow her latest fad of becoming a goth, which involves dressing like an undertaker's haunted hearse and putting on eyeliner. Last week she was into Reggae and beanie hats. FML

unless you want to spend all your money buying clothes for countless fads, i say you have a serious talk with her. if she doesn't still doesn't get it, put your dick in her eye so she can see where you're coming from.

tell her you're into guys this week.

It's cute, just play along and she will eventually get bored.

This FML makes me real mad actually... I'm a goth and I'm sick of people thinking it'll all about death and being depressed. It's not.

#234; Precisely! I'm more of a lolita myself, but I'm HUGE on the gothic subculture. I'm quite a cheerful person. o.o I'm just proper and lady like and I love literature and coffee as well as being a creative individual. I'm not gloomy or death obsessed. D:>

Just because you wear all black with heavy eyeliner doesn't mean you're a goth. There's a lot more to it than that. I personally am not one, but you can tell by looking at someone's appearance. Sure, they wear dark clothes and do dramatic makeup, but it isn't just that.

Emo is about death and depression and all that stuff. Goth is more about appreciating the dark side of things-- which can include death, given its cultural connection to darkness, sometimes depression too, but it's really just not about those things in the first place-- those things are an extension of the main baseline.

You know who you just reminded me of? Abby Scuito! :D
