By hatesurf - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - Peru

Today, I was surfing. I saw a cop writing a ticket for my car, I swam as fast as I could to stop him, I got caught in a wave, and smashed onto the rocks. I ended up with a huge bleeding scratch on my back, a broken surfboard, and a note saying that I had a flat tire. FML

Who writes a note saying you have a flat tire? Wouldn't it be kinda obvious when you get to your car? It's like putting a note on a car saying "YOUR CAR IS BLUE. I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THIS." I mean I get the friendly gesture and what not, but still. It seems like a visit from Captain Obvious.

I hope your spare wasn't flat, too. You poor thing.. So what did you do to deserve such bad Karma?

Karma is NOT real. I don't get how there are so many atheists and non-believers on this site, and everyone believes in the bullshit that is karma.

You don't have to 'believe' in god to believe in karma. There is a difference between being religious and being spiritual.

Besides, in all technicality Karma is not a religious or spiritual thing. While Karma may be an Indian word that hints at a spirit, the truth is that in America (or what ever other country you guys are writing from) it's more along the lines of a justice issue. What do I mean by that? Well simply, to me karma is a concept based on "YDI". Yes, the same YDI we click here when rating these anecdotes. When I think of karma, I think of you deserve it. It doesn't mean that by kicking a puppy some unknown force is going to make a dog later in life bite your arm off. BUT... if a dog does happen to bite your arm off, I'll say, "Karma. It's a bitch." By which I mean, in Ike's own words, "You'll receive no sympathy from me". In other words, karma's not a force, but rather a reasoning of logic for when you get an event to happen to you. When you do good, people are happy for you, so they say "karma's looking out for you." When you do something bad, they say karma has struck, by which they mean "ha ha... you deserved it for what you did"

LOL at americans for destroying thousands of years worth of Indian heritage because you would rather it mean something else. karama is what you do in your everyday life that will effect your next life. Just because the americans decided the meaning held them down too much and changed it, doesn't make it so.

That sucks, should of kick the cops ass.

Lmao kicked his ass for writing him a note stating that he had a flat tire? It wasn't a fine or ticket, its just that the OP thought it was.

Lizzie- he Got a note because if a flat, not a ticket 4 parking

Yeah but still why would he have to worry and go check for a ticket if the place was fine?

Cops can be very deceiving...

Because maybe he was being ticketed for something he didn't realize he'd done?

You really could have drowned. You're lucky.

Just so you know for future referance once a cop begins a ticket its impossible to stop, my father is a cop he says it has something to do with missing ticket sheets.
